DEPÓSITOS FRANCOS DE
ALICANTE S.A. (equivalent to what is generally known as free
trade zones) are located inside and outside the port
of Alicante. They are customs installations with characteristics
and functioning similar to the duty-free zones of other countries
(in the Spanish legislation the term "Depósito Franco" [free depot]
is used).

Their numerous customs advantages
allow the introduction and storage of all kinds of goods which are
the object of normal trade. During their stay in the duty-free
zone they are exempt of the payment of customs fees, VAT and any othet
taxes by the State. Province or Town Hall. We are also qualified
as tax depot of alcoholic drinks and tobacco.

The stored goods may be subject
to a wide range of operations, such as packing of goods, change of
packing and packaging, fractioning of weight, cleaning, classification,
mixtures to obtain appropriate commercial types, change of labels
and marks.

Our installations can offer a special service for the consignment trade, that is, appropriate for storing goods of uncertain sale. While the goods are stored in the duty-free zone, they can be freely sold or pledged by their owners. |

Its location in the centre of
the Spanish Mediterranean coast, the excellent communications by land
(connected to the European net of motorways and railways), by air
and sea make it an ideal centre for the reception and distribution
of goods.

customs -clearance, etc.
